Dijon. "It's nothing like this anymore!": the new day shelter for the homeless inaugurated

"It's completely different, they've done something really good now, frankly!" Habib was more than pleasantly surprised when he discovered the new premises of the SDAT* day center in Dijon. He knew the old ones well, dilapidated and no longer meeting the requirements of hospitality and dignity. "I arrived from Nice in 2003 and I came for about twenty years before getting an apartment," he recalls. "Back then, we would have liked to have all that. There was only one shower; now there are four, for men and women, what a step forward! The same goes for the laundry area; I was amazed at the number of washing machines and dryers. I'm happy for the people on the street, even if there's less respect and solidarity between them," describes the 46-year-old.
